1. The application of DC shunts

DC shunts are widely used to expand the range of accurate measurement of total electrical flow in the instrument panel, and can be used in communication systems, electronic components, all mechanical equipment, and automated machinery. For the accurate measurement of the motor test, generally an ammeter needs to be equipped with many shunts to ensure the required accurate measurement accuracy in a very large inspection range.

At this time, it is required that the rated current drop of all shunts should be consistent with the ammeter, such as 100mV. In this way, after the DC shunt is selected, the full scale of the ammeter is the rated current value of the selected shunt, and the multiple of the ammeter (that is, the number of currents per division on its dial scale) is the rated current of the shunt divided by the total number of divisions on the dial scale.

2. Classification and model specifications of DC shunts

There are many types and specifications of DC current shunts. According to the structure, there are currently mobile fixed-value shunts and precision alloy resistors on the market. 20A, 25A are different, the rated current of precision alloy resistors or non-expanded slot shunts is from 10A to 15kA standard interval.

The DC shunt is mainly divided into external shunt and internal shunt according to the connection method. The external shunt also has various specifications and models, such as: FL-2 type, FL-19 type, FL-13 type, FL- 29 type, FL-39 type, etc., there are also many internal shunts, and the appearance of the internal shunt is much smaller than that of the external shunt.
