The tower is the iron frame that we often see outside base stations, mainly used for installing antennas in the base station. The higher the tower, the wider the signal coverage area of the antenna. The antenna and the base station are connected by transmission optical cables to achieve data communication. The role of the signal tower is solely to provide height, acting as an extension and fixation for the base station antenna. From the user's perspective, the base station is the equipment used to connect the user's mobile terminal, mainly responsible for signal transmission work on the user's mobile end, including voice calls, internet access, and other various services. From a professional point of view, the base station is an end network composed of a set of communication equipment, forming an organic whole that includes mobile switching, base station controllers, wireless network controllers, and so on, with none being dispensable.
The rail-mounted DC meter for tower base stations is mainly designed for base stations with sharing needs and where the power supply switch does not have the function of user energy metering. The meter can measure the DC meter for six circuits and provide working current for the supporting Hall sensor. It can also realize zero drift calibration through upper computer software, and has functions such as remote measurement, remote communication, remote adjustment, real-time power measurement, power supply quality anomaly alarm, information storage and processing, information interaction, etc.
Basic Functions
The tower base station DC meter has functions to monitor system time, total voltage, total output current, total power, total energy, and voltage, current, power, and energy for each branch. It features LED indicator light display and RS485 communication.
Metering Functions
The tower base station DC metering starts at a load current value not exceeding 1% of the upper limit current under rated voltage. The creeping current is such that when there is no current in the metering module current line, and the voltage line is subjected to 85% to 125% of the rated voltage value, the module calculator should not have more than one digit change.
Alarm Functions
The tower base station DC meter has certain alarm functions like low DC voltage output alarm, high DC voltage output alarm, first power-off alarm, module under-voltage alarm, metering branch error alarm, internal program error alarm, clock error alarm, memory failure alarm, and AC input power-off alarm.
Time Calibration Function
The tower base station DC meter supports broadcast time calibration and remote time calibration of the metering module via the RS485 communication interface.
Storage Function
The tower base station DC meter has storage functions for historical energy data and historical alarm information, with a memory capacity of 2MB.
The tower base station DC meter can measure the DC electricity consumption separately for three operators, providing detailed data support for base station energy-saving improvements and sub-metering solutions for DC distribution equipment.
The tower base station monitoring sets 5G base station energy data collection.
The intelligent energy management cloud platform completes power-down operations during off-business periods at night by installing AC/DC intelligent monitoring equipment, wireless collection devices, and a system management platform for 5G macro sites and indoor sites, reducing energy consumption and operational costs, and enhancing real-time monitoring and protection functions for the power supply lines of communication equipment.
The system backend organizes, summarizes, and analyzes the stored historical electrical performance data of the power supply lines to identify fault causes, provide solution suggestions, reduce the occurrence rate of similar subsequent faults, and enhance the operation and maintenance control capabilities of the power supply lines.
