IEC 60364-7-710:2002 "Electrical Installations of Buildings Part 7-710: Requirements for Special Installations or Locations: Medical Locations" stipulates:
1. In Class 2 medical locations, medical IT systems should be used for the power supply circuits of life-sustaining, surgical and other medical electrical equipment and systems located in the "patient area".
2. In several adjacent rooms with the same purpose, at least one medical IT system with an independent circuit must be installed. The medical IT system should be equipped with an insulation monitor that complies with IEC 61557-8.
3. For each medical IT system, an audible and visual alarm system should be installed in an appropriate location so that medical staff can monitor it frequently (audible and visual signals).
4. It is required to monitor overload and overheating of medical IT transformers.
Application of Class 0 places: There is no electrical equipment in direct contact with the patient's body in this type of place. Power supply method: Power outage will not directly cause or affect the patient's life safety, such as massage therapy rooms and offices.
Application of Class 1 places: The electrical facilities in this type of place are mainly used for contact with the patient's body surface. Power supply method: Power outage does not pose a direct safety threat to patients during the diagnosis and treatment process. For example: general wards, physical therapy rooms, infusion rooms.
Application of Class 2 places: The electrical facilities in this type of place are mainly used for invasive treatment methods and life support system equipment for patients. Power supply method: Accidental power outage will directly cause the patient's life safety. For example: operating rooms, intensive care units, various intensive care units
AITR series medical isolating transformer:
Double insulation, silent design, meets 4200V/minute dielectric strength test. H-class insulation material allows higher temperature rise and longer material service life; the coil has a built-in PT100 temperature sensor for direct temperature measurement; Inrush current (IE): <12In (actually close to 8 times the input current peak); Leakage current: <0.2mA; Short-circuit voltage: <3%; No-load output current: <3%; Efficiency: >96%; Noise: <40dB (Bender is 35dB) Capacity: 3.15kVA, 5kVA, 6.3kVA, 8kVA, 10kVA. (No 4kVA)
AIM-R100 residual current monitor performance: Suitable for TN-S systems in medical Class 1 and Class 2 places such as medical delivery rooms, hemodialysis centers, and emergency rooms. It can monitor the leakage current of 12 main lines or each terminal branch and has an alarm function; the leakage monitoring range is 1mA~5A; the alarm value range is: 6mA~1A; 1 RS485 communication, which can be used for remote data monitoring; 1 relay alarm output.
Selection Guide
1) Find the power distribution system diagram among the numerous project drawings.
2) Within each distribution system diagram, find a diagram showing two transformers with associated equipment such as insulation monitoring devices.
3) If each branch after the transformer has a transformer, choose 6 or 7 piece set. Otherwise, use a 4 or 5 piece set and select the model.
4) Determine the capacity of the isolation transformer and select the model.
